Economics of Achievement

August 21, 2008

Saluting the spirit of Sushil Kumar (wrestling) and Vijender Kumar (Boxing), Bronze medalists in Beijing Olympics – their background and their incredible journey...

It is easier to celebrate glory once achieved than to invest in it before. There are no assured returns, the risks are too high and the payback period, if at all, might be too long. Such is the economics of achievement, which is understood only by a handful of mad romantics.

Let the crazy pursue glory through lonely endless toils, driven and sustained on little other than pride, honor and a dream, even as the smart and the practical rejoice collectively in the solidity of that which is already achieved.

Saluting the pursuit of glory, the DNA of achievement.
